Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using AthletIQ (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and 17, you must have a parent or legal guardian's consent to use it and to enable certain features (such as recruiting visibility and connected wearables). The Service is not intended for children under 13.

3. What the Service is

AthletIQ is an educational sports decision-training platform. It offers training scenarios, AI-generated feedback, benchmarks, mental training, and optional integrations with wearable devices and recruiting tools.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Some features require a paid subscription ("Pro"). Subscriptions are billed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in your account settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm others, or post unlawful or infringing content.
• Misrepresent your identity, age, statistics, or accomplishments.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or its underlying systems.
• Use the Service to make hiring, recruiting, or coverage decisions in violation of applicable laws.

7. Your content and intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you upload (e.g., highlights, profile information). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and process that content as needed to operate the Service. All software, designs, scoring systems, scenarios, and AI prompts of the Service are owned by us or our licensors.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI feedback will be accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or opportunities arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from settings. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the Service or other users.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in-app or by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction TBD], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
