Who we are
AthletIQ ("we", "us") provides an athlete training and discovery platform across multiple sports. This policy explains what we collect when you use our app, websites, and related services (the "Service"), and how you can control it.
Information we collect
- Account info you provide: email, name, age or birth year, and your sport/position preferences.
- Gameplay & combine results: your answers, response times, IQ scores, training history, and progress.
- Connected wearable health data (only if you choose to connect a device): sleep, HRV, strain, readiness, and similar metrics from providers such as WHOOP, Oura, Garmin, Polar, Fitbit, or Samsung.
- Device and usage analytics: basic information like device type, app version, crash reports, and feature usage to keep the Service running.
How we use your information
We use it to run and personalize your training, compute your scores and benchmarks against peers, surface relevant content and recommendations, communicate with you about the Service, and improve the product.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent. For users between 13 and 17, we require parent or guardian consent for certain features (such as recruiting visibility, public profiles, and connected wearables).
A parent or legal guardian can review, correct, or request deletion of their child's data by emailing us at the address below. We will verify the request before acting on it.
Health data from wearables
Wearable and health data is sensitive. We only collect it after you explicitly connect a device and grant consent. We use it solely to personalize your training and readiness recommendations. We never sell health data and never use it for advertising. You can disconnect a device and delete the data we received from it at any time from the Wearables screen or by contacting us.
How we share information
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers acting on our behalf, including:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and storage hosting
- Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing
- A wearable-data aggregator — to retrieve metrics from your connected device(s) with your consent
For enterprise or team customers (clubs, schools, programs), staff can only view an individual player's data with that player's (or their guardian's) consent.
Storage and security
Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. We restrict internal access to the people who need it to run the Service. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to follow industry-standard practices.
Data retention
We keep account and training data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data from your profile settings or by emailing us. Depending on where you live (e.g., EEA, UK, California), you may have additional rights such as objection or restriction of processing. We honor those rights for everyone.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email and update the "Last updated" date above.
